National Chung Cheng University Guidelines on Distance Learning

Approved by the 2nd Meeting of Distance Learning Affairs on December 19th, 2007

1. National Chung Cheng University (hereinafter referred to as "the University") established the Guidelines on distance learning in order to maintain the teaching quality in distance learning

2.The distance learning here refers to both the live online teaching and non-live online teaching

3. Distance learning should be designed:
a. live course: to complement other schools’ course
b. non-live course: mainly online and partly face-to-face to all courses

4. The offer of online courses should meet the university’s regulations of regular courses and the process following:
a. the teacher should propose the course plan, which should include the teaching approch
b. the course should be approved by the university

5. The course plan should include introductory information and concrete teaching goal, target students, classtoom rules, grading method, and so on.

6. Distance course should be selected by the way same with regular courses.

7. Evaluation
a. Online courses should be evaluated at the end of the semester
b. The courses could be awarded after the evaluation

8. These Guidelines shall be approved at the Meeting of Academic Affairs, and promulgated and enforced upon approval of the President. The same shall apply where these Guidelines are amended
