1.Establishment purpose

The society of the new century is a learning society. Therefore, the empowerment of citizens for lifelong learning has become a prime educational policy for this nation, in response to a world-wide trend. Moreover, it is also the educational philosophy espoused by Dr. Lin Ching-Jiang, the first president of National Chung Cheng University. With the advances and popularity of today’s information technology, learning is no longer confined to the traditional classroom, with its space and time constraints. The new learning technology has no such restrictions to learning, and delivers to the people more convenient access to a richer, more diverse learning experience.
       
The purpose for establishing this Center is to fully utilize National Chung Cheng University’s abundant resources for teaching and research to develop, incorporating state-of-art digital learning technology, diverse study courses that are responsive to current and future global demands. It is our hope to serve society by promoting active participation in learning, and providing innovative opportunities for lifelong learning, to achieve the vision of active ageing.

2.Organization

e-Learning Division：Dedicated to development and production of e-learning materials and curricula for National Chung Cheng University, as well as guidance in study course certification and promotion of e-learning platforms.

Continuing Education Division：Planning and execution of promotional workshops, credit courses (including overseas), and camp programs.

Planning activities Division：Operations development planning, project planning, administrative management, event planning, promotion and marketing of commissioned research outcomes and derivatives from the university (including goods, products, publications, etc.).
